Do the days seem to be blurring together? Do the kids need something to do? Here is a list of things that are available for free to use at home!

ABCMouse

This one is subscription-based. BUT you can get a 30-day free trial It is for children ages 2-8 and it is one used in the libraries. The Children’s computers at the Santa Clarita Libraries have this available and you can come use it once we open again.

ABCYa

This site is full of learning games for Pre-K to 6 and more. There is also an app that you can download to phones and tablets!

Brain Pop

The site to get all of the needs met for everyone at home! Need to keep up with school work or want to learn new things in one subject? Brain Pop has many topics to learn and explore as well as new and trending topics!

Coding for Kids

This site will show you all of the free resources for kids to be able to learn how to code from home!

Dreamscape

This free site for 2nd to 8th graders offers engaging reading games that combine strategy, engagement, and imaginative reading passages in order to create fun literacy games that align with the curriculum.

GoNoodle

Want to get your kids up and moving? This site offers videos and games that get kids up and moving and dancing! Do they need a break in between lessons or just need to wiggle it out for a bit? Visit this site!

Google Arts & Culture

Ever dream of going to museums around the world? Now is the time! Google has put their collection in one single place and made it available for everyone free of charge! Click on the left-hand tab and explore other things you can learn!

Jbrary Storytime Resources

Parents of younger kids, rejoice! This site has tons of resources for Storytime and keeping the young kids active. Sing along, flannel stories, yoga, stories, and more!

Kiwi Co has lots of great ideas for families, kids, and adults, to pass the time at home. You have daily activities with activities by ages and even a parent toolkit!

Lil’ Libros has free worksheets available to keep kids busy at home!

Lunch Doodles with Mo Willems!

The author of Elephant and Piggie?! Mo Willems invites you to his studio! Grab paper and pencils and doodle with Mr. Willems every weekday at 1:00 pm ET.

National Geographic Kids

National Geographic Kids has lots of resources and fun interactive information for kids. They will not even know they are learning lots of new facts with the games and videos that are offered for free. There is also a whole section dedicated to Animals and a whole section on Exploration of different things.

PBS Learning Media

PBS and local stations have curated free, standards-aligned videos, interactive lesson plans, and more! The service is available for Pre K to 12.
