The Jungle Book is a collection of fables written by Rudyard Kipling while living in Vermont in 1894. The Second Jungle Book was published the following year.
Several of the fables feature Mowgli, an abandoned “man cub” raised by wolves in the Indian Jungle.
In a few short weeks Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book will be brought to the big screen in a Disney live-action production set for release on April 15, 2016.
With the approaching release, now is a good time to read up on Mowgli and his adventures before heading to the theatres!
