Now that your child is a reader, don’t stop reading aloud! Your student will have an advantage with reading comprehension because they understand more complex stories when heard aloud than when reading them independently. The perk for a parent is that you can’t read aloud and do something else at the same time – and parents today definitely need a chance to slow down!
