In 2011, we re-opened our doors to the public; this year we celebrate our 5th year of service to our community as the City of Santa Clarita Public Library.
There are so many ways you can participate and help us celebrate this milestone!
Stop by your library to:
- Fill out a Love Letter Postcard sharing 5 reasons you love the library
- Pick up a Commemorative 5 Year Anniversary Bookmark (you can color it too!)
- Pick up a new Anniversary themed library card
- Take a selfie at our Five Year Anniversary Photo Prop Station. Make sure to share it on social media using our hashtag #SCPLTurns5
- Guess the Number of Candles in the Jar for a Chance to Win a Prize
And what’s a birthday celebration without BIRTHDAY CAKE!! On Friday, July 1st we are serving birthday cake at all 3 branch locations:
- 11:00 a.m. at the Old Town Newhall Library
- 1:00 p.m. at the Valencia Library
- 3:00 p.m. at the Canyon Country Jo Anne Darcy Library
It truly has been a pleasure serving the community of Santa Clarita, and we look forward to many more birthdays to come! We hope you’ll join us in the fun during the month of June!
