Hi there. Are you wondering if the library has a certain program? Not sure where to look? Start at our Events Calendar.
On the library website (www.santaclaritalibrary.com) you will see several things at the top including the library logo, a pale blue banner with links, a search bar and a bright blue banner. On that bright blue banner are links to Home, Events, eLibrary, Books, and more. This is what the top portion of the page looks like:
Begin by clicking on Events. This will take you to our monthly calendar. This calendar will look something like this:
If you are searching for a program for your child or yourself you can search by age group. This will limit the results to only those that are appropriate for that specific age. Limit your search by age by selecting the specific age desired under the Age Groups tab in grey like this:
Next, decide if you want to find programs at all branches or just one specific library branch location. If you are looking at all locations you can stop now. If you want to find programs at only one library limit your search by selecting the specific branch you want under the Locations tab in grey like this:
Now we will see only programs appropriate for School Age children at the Old Town Newhall Library.
If you are interested in searching for a specific type of program such as Book Club or Gaming or Storytime you can search for that specific type of program under the Event Types tab in grey. Below is what you would see if you were searching for a Storytime program in the Events Types tab after you have already set the Age Groups tab to Toddler and the location tab to Old Town Newhall Library.
Once all three of these drop down tabs have been selected you will hit Search. You results will look like this:
If you want to know more about a specific program simply click on the program you are interested in. Once clicked on, a pop in window will appear offering you more information including the date and time of the program, the room location and a description of the program. There will also be a contact name along with an email address so you can get in touch with a library employee to find out more information if you so desire. You result will look something like this:
If you do not find what you are looking for using the grey drop down tabs clear your results and try using the Keyword search on the top right.
Feel free to play around with the search filters to get yourself familiarized with our Events calendar. If you are interested in finding out about upcoming events you can always use the green arrow to move forward to another month. Library programs are published months in advance so explore away.
